Benefit Informatics Providing CNIC Health Solutions with Data Analysis and Reporting Solutions
Tulsa, O.K - Jan. 25, 2009 – CNIC Health Solutions, Inc., Colorado’s largest Third Party Administrator (TPA) has entered into an agreement with Benefit Informatics (BI) for Data Analysis and Reporting services. These services will allow CNIC Health Solutions to enhance the current reporting package and provide clients and broker partners comprehensive access to health plan data. CNIC is utilizing the ConnectSM service to allow clients and brokers to electronically access analysis functions and report output.
In using Data Analysis and Reporting from BI, CNIC staff can proactively monitor health plan utilization, trends and plan performance to help clients make informed decisions and control costs. The web-based service provides an array of standard and ad-hoc analysis capabilities for each plan administered by CNIC.
Angela Moore, Chief Operating Officer for CNIC considers the addition of Benefit Informatics Internet-based services into their operations to be an important step in offering unmatched service and technology to clients. “We evaluated a number of companies and came to the conclusion that Benefit Informatics offers us and our clients and broker partners the best solution for plan analysis and reporting. “ Moore added, “We have been very pleased with how Benefit Informatics has integrated their systems with ours and we are very excited to be offering this new level of health plan information access to our clients.”
The Connect service, a secure electronic report and document distribution component of Data Analysis and Reporting, gives each CNIC employer group customer and affiliated broker/consultants access to analysis functions as well as report and document output. Approved staff members from each employer group and approved brokers can simply login in to a secure website to perform analysis, review reports scheduled and generated by the system and review other documents uploaded by CNIC administrative personnel.
“We are pleased to be offering CNIC and their clients and brokers a one-stop, single sign-on solution for both analyzing and reporting health plan utilization,” said Philip Kurtz, Benefit Informatics President and CEO. “As employers across the country look for ways to control health plan costs, we want to be an active partner with our TPA and insurance company customers in providing the most timely, most valuable decision support information for every stakeholder in the employee health benefits process.”
