Technical Support Analyst Overview

The Technical Support Analyst position reports directly to the Director of Implementation/Support. The main objective of this position is to coordinate and perform system implementation, support and training.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and support customer operations for Benefit Informatics product and service set
  • Perform data transfers and loads in support of customer activities
  • Create process and product documentation for use by Benefit Informatics and customer personnel
  • Assist software development team with new product definition and analysis

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with employee benefits and healthcare reimbursement
  • Very strong knowledge of Office suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to install and configure Windows applications and operating systems
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts both in written form and orally
  • Demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to unfamiliar problems
  • Familiarity with SQL-Server, and SQL syntax in general
  • Demonstrated knowledge of file transfer, encryption, and compression software such as FTP, PGP and Zip
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Focus on process and consistency of service delivered to customers
  • Ability to understand the big picture but pay close attention to details

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in MIS, engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience in systems analysis, software implementation, or software development
  • Familiarity with employee benefit administration highly desired
