System Support Developer Overview
The main objective of the System Support Developer position is to perform system support and development for the Company’s benefit management services and back-office administration functions.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance of applications and programs related to Company operations
- Development and monitoring of metrics and processes related to Company operations
- Provide solutions that will streamline internal support and implementation processes
- Work directly with customers to solve problems in a timely manner on proprietary Benefit Informatics online systems
- Work with marketing, implementation, operations and customer support organization to determine priorities and timelines for application updates and changes.
- Conceptualization, design, development and maintenance of applications for customer end users, system maintenance and automation
- Operations support for data transfers between trading partners
- General support of Company’s proprietary information systems and applications
- Assist software development team with data loads, product definition and analysis
Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with employee benefit administration, health insurance or healthcare finance is a significant plusAbility to clearly articulate ideas and concepts both in written form and orally
- Ability to install and configure Windows applications and operating systems
- Demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to unfamiliar problems
- Proficiency with MS-Office (especially Excel), SQL-Server, Visual Basic, and Active Server Pages
- Demonstrated knowledge of file transfer, encryption, and compression software such as FTP, PGP and Zip
- Focus on process and consistency of service delivered to customers
- Ability to understand the big picture but pay close attention to details
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor degree in MIS, engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years experience in systems analysis, software implementation, or software development
- Familiarity with employee benefit administration highly desired
